We have recently upgraded our notification system for backflow inspection reports. You will be receiving a letter approximately 2 months in advance reminding you of your upcoming yearly inspection. If we have not received the required documentation by the due date, a 2nd and possible 3rd letter will be mailed out. Per the Elmira Water Board Rules and Regulations Section 6.9 a fee in the amount of $100 will be added to the account for every two weeks the inspection is past due. Your service could also be interrupted. Once interrupted, the account will receive an additional $75 fee and service will not be restored until the account is paid in full and the proper testing documentation has been received by our office.
