*Commissioner James E. Hare has been appointed by the Elmira City Council to fill the unexpired term of Kathleen A. Sweeney who resigned her Commissioner’s seat. Commissioner Hare will serve until the next scheduled election date of June 4, 2013. At that time, the electorate will be voting for one water commissioner for a five-year term, expiring in June of 2018, and one water commissioner to fill a vacancy with a three-year term, expiring in June 2016.
