 In the first week of October, the Elmira Water Board publishes requests for chemical and material bids for the upcoming year. Bids are opened on the first Wednesday of November. The initial advertisement of bid is mailed to vendors who have participated in the past. A public announcement is also printed in our local newspaper, the Star Gazette’s legal section. Bidders are directed to the Elmira Water Board’s web page for all bid forms and filing requirements. Also provided are the instructions on returning the bids, along with the bid opening date and time. To help you in your bid preparation, we provide the bid results from the most recent bid opening.
